Butcher’s Pet Care has been making naturally nourishing food for dogs for over 30 years. Proudly sourcing its meat from British and Irish farms, Butcher's extended its much-loved wet food range in 2020 to include naturally meaty treats.

In a commitment to nourishing dogs like they nourish us, Butcher's has donated over 1 million meals to dogs in need across the UK through its #NourishEveryDog campaign.

Butcher’s created the first ever grain-free food for dogs in 1987 and continues to lead the market to this day.

the brief

may was initially briefed to launch Butcher’s rebrand on social media in January 2018, which updated outdated perceptions and packaging, and communicated the company’s honest values and natural ingredients.

After a successful roll-out, may was assigned the responsibility of Butcher’s additional social media channels, digital campaign support and newsletters, before taking over the management of its consumer and corporate websites. All of which we continue to manage today.

Butcher’s requires may to seamlessly integrate brand messages and business objectives across all digital comms, developing existing relationships and identifying new potential customers.

the result

may worked closely with Butcher’s to launch its new branding with a strategic mix of social media content designed to maximise engagement, drive new people to the profiles and inspire purchases. We launched Butcher’s on Instagram to showcase its new, more lifestyle-focused imagery and branding, and in building the social audiences, have developed relationships with key customers, influencers and partner brands.

We now look after all social networks for Butcher’s and manage its ad campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI and competitive KPI conversion. Our oversight of the business and its key objectives allows us to bring continuity to our messaging in newsletters, blog posts and digital campaigns, in addition to effectively managing its databases, website updates and new product launches.
